Value
Value...
It's unwise to pay too much, but it's equally unwise to pay too little.
"When you pay too much, you lose a little money, that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the item you bought was incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do.
The common law of business prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. It can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it's well to add something for the risk you run.
And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better."
...John Ruskin (1819-1900)
The above quotation is included in this website as, whilst we do believe that it is important to consider the best value in any project, and not just the price submitted, we do believe that it is very relevant (and in your best interests) for a client to consider the whole picture (and not just price) for their project.
Certainly, we do know that price is important, but not on its own, without reference to any other factor. So, we feel that being competitive, our lifeblood, is not just about price but the total package.
We believe that when we make promises we must deliver them as intended. You can have confidence in our technical and professional competence, as well as our performance as a company in delivering steady and fair (financial as well as technical) results in the construction business, the returns of which are ploughed back into the company (over 65% of any profits kept in the business each year), so that clients can have confidence in Lindum's ability to deliver their projects reliably and with a reasonable degree of security (which we believe means less disruption for you).
ALSO important, in considering value and not just price, is the reputation we have for looking after the company and its projects in a general sense, including communication during the project (we do tell the truth, late or on time and the reasons, not excuses), as well as its staff and their attitude (all are shareholders and committed to care), plus their after sales service and approach to putting problems and snags right, when they are not quite exactly as one would like (no contractor can honestly claim to be perfect, but we, at least, admit that we're not!).
Being competitive is our business, but only if our whole approach is considered in the manner in which we intend. And, in the final analysis, our performance, as a whole, is the ultimate test as to whether we are true to these principles and our goal IS for you to use us again, so we do have an interest in delivering such promises.
So, finally, the main point we try to make here is that there are a number of factors to consider by a client in making a decision in choosing their contractor and Lindum believes that it offers a very good and attractive overall package, which should not only be based on price, but VALUE.
Please consider Mr. Ruskin's words of wisdom in this light! We believe that you will NOT be disappointed, perhaps you will be very pleased you have chosen us!
