Lindum Waste Recovery
In 2003 Lindum BMS began to build the Lindum Group’s £1 m investment of a new Waste Transfer Station. Located on the outskirts of the village of Saxilby we opened our gates early 2004, taking in construction, demolition, agricultural, industrial and commercial waste.
We aim to prevent as much waste from going out to Landfill by segregating as many different recyclables as we can find outlets for and by reprocessing inerts to make secondary aggregates.
In 2007, over 25,000 tonnes of waste came through the gates and over 87% was recycled. Not only do we help save our environment we also save the Group money on external tipping by keeping it in-house as well as providing an outlet for local businesses.
In the 4 years that we have been open, we have gone from strength to strength and several key construction clients have complimented us on our initiative. They have also confirmed that this facility makes a positive impact on their decision making when it comes to awarding contracts and identifying building companies whom they wish to establish long term partnerships with.
