Project Details
This development in Newark demonstrates Lindum’s knowledge of BREEAM, sustainable construction methods and work in managed workspace facilities. The project, as originally designed, included photo voltaic panels but failed to meet the BREEAM criteria.
The Lindum team made a difference by re-engineering the project to include biomass boilers, rainwater harvesting, thermographic analysis and enhancing the airtightness, which ensured that BREEAM Good was achieved whilst staying within the budget. Lindum has also built another six managed workspaces in the region all with construction values of over £1m. “What particularly stood out (as compared to many contractors) is Lindum’s professional approach and ‘can do’ attitude. Such comments are rare enough on projects so a mention is definitely merited in this instance” - Steve Rowlinson, Architect, Nottinghamshire County Council. Newark Beacon won two RCIS Regional Regeneration Awards.
