Project Details
Working in Partnership with Waterloo Housing Association, HLP Architects, Ridge Consultants and BSP Structural Engineers, Lindum Construction has completed the construction of 12 Timber frame dwellings at Cropwell Bishop, Nottingham.
With help from Lindum’s in-house innovation team, the development was designed to achieve carbon neutral heating and hot water which enabled the client to receive additional funding.
This was achieved using solar and photovoltaic panels accompanied by a heat recovery system and increased insulation. The site also made use of rainwater harvesting to reduce the quantity of all site drainage by reusing water to the toilets in the properties.
The project was also designed to be lifetime homes compliant to CSH Level 3, with one dwelling made suitable for disabled access, this was done by providing level access to the plot, increasing the width of door openings, making alterations to the garden shed for disabled buggy use and installing a level access shower.
