This project involved the construction of a 2500m² extension to Kautex Unipart’s factory in Coventry, together with 2400m² of hardstanding for future expansion and approximately 2000m² of road and turning circle.

To begin with the complete area of the site including the external hardstanding areas were vibro piled. Traditional pad foundations were then cast before erecting the steel frame and fixing the profiled sheet cladding to the roof and walls.

The job required close liaison with Kautex in terms of works to the shared boundary and within the existing factory itself.� � In order to assist Kautex with their production schedule an area of storage within the new extension was released ahead of time.
