Project Details
A design and build project to construct a new pet food production facility adjacent to the existing production area.
Construction of new portal frame building adjacent to an existing canning production area, complete with process mezzanine platforms, new external foodsafe walling and internal resin floors, new building and process services extending from within the existing buildings, for the housing of a new pouch process facility.
To meet the client’s production timescales works commenced on site whilst demolition works were ongoing by the client.
During the project the client added an approximately £2m 15,000 sq.ft extension to the project linked to the current project. This was carried out and completed prior ro the main works only adding 10 weeks to the time plan.
An alternative insulated panel solution was incorporated for a 16m high building where all panels were laid horizontally grid to grid which eased installation and also allowed the easy removal and replacement of panels in the future.
