Project Details
This project involved the renovation of a Grade II heritage listed Victorian Church being transformed into a Heritage Museum.
Works included a complete re-roof, masonry repairs of the stone windows and parapets, stained glass window repairs with complete new windows, the conservation and restoration of the existing internal architectural features (original ceramic tiling, plaster mouldings, pulpit and font), including the display of the 11th Century remains of the old Gilbertine Monastery under a glass floor.
The work has been carried out sympathetically with the age of the building, but does include new features such as state of the art theatre lighting to make the building available for most events.
