Lindum still the best in the UK

Lindum still the best in the UK

Lindum has been named again as one of the Top 20 companies in the UK to work for in the prestigious Sunday Times Best 100 Companies to Work for list in 2011.

Beating off stiff opposition from 1165 organisations which involved surveying over 275,000 employees’ opinions, Lindum is delighted to be ranked 20th in The Sunday Times Best Mid-sized Companies to Work For Award 2011.

A special nomination was also received by Lindum in the category for ‘Best Company for Training and Development’.  This accolade acknowledges that the workforce feel that they are provided with the opportunity for growth and progression, supported by structured training and personal development .

Entry to the competition is based on confidential employee feedback via questionnaires – so employees get the chance to say what they really think and it is apparent that the employees of Lindum think that it is a great place to work!

Charles Bennett, who joined Lindum’s Plant Division 15 years ago as a Service Engineer, was one of the 12 Lindum Group employees who attended the Awards Ceremony held in London on 25th February. He said “It was an honour to be one of the employees asked to receive this National Award on behalf of our company. I have enjoyed coming to work everyday since I joined Lindum in1996 and, as part of my job I get to work on a diverse range of plant and equipment - I can be repairing the Gardener’s lawn mower in the morning and a 23 tonne excavator in the afternoon! However, what I find even more rewarding is working with the people at Lindum, especially the younger members of the team who are keen to learn from those of us who have years of experience and watching their confidence and skills grow over time. This National Award goes some way to recognising the unique family we have at Lindum.”
