Lindum Wins 2009 Lincolnshire Media Business Awards

Lindum were announced as winners of the ‘Supporting the Community Award’ at this year’s Lincolnshire Media Business Awards, held on 12 November at the Epic Centre and organised by Lincolnshire Echo and Chamber of Commerce.

The award was received in recognition of the work with St Francis Special School in Lincoln.

The school needed a training facility for their over 16 year old students but couldn’t raise the funds. Lindum stepped in, bought and refurbished a house next to the school which had been empty for some time and now St Francis School rent the new facility and have an option to buy as soon as they are able.  

Lynn Ritson of Lindum, who was accompanied by Ann Hoffmann, Head of St Francis School, was presented with the award by Margaret Tranter, President of Lincolnshire Co-operative - the award sponsors.
